Davisons Law are happy to announce that Sense UK were chosen to receive a generous donation accumulated by the law firm during 2022. The leading law practice have now donated over £6,000 to the local charity, who help thousands of people who are deafblind or who have complex disabilities, to develop new skills, communicate and experience the world.
The donation marks a significant milestone in the firm’s year-long charity drive, a goal committed to donating over £10,000.00 to charities that directly support the local communities in Birmingham and Warwickshire. Having recently participated in fundraising activities for A Child of Mine, The Lily Mae Foundation and The Children’s Trust, fundraising efforts for local charities remains a priority.
Claire Hogarth, Practice Manager said. “We chose Sense as we are aware that they have a local Hub Centre in Selly Oak, which provides a wide range of services for those with disabilities. With their goal being to support 30,000 people living with disabilities by 2026, Davisons Law are proud to be able to contribute and are keen to arrange future fundraising efforts to help Sense achieve this goal.”
Nesheela Nazir, Director of Davisons Law, explained that “We are extremely proud to be donating over £6,000 to Sense UK. The help that they provide for children and families is incredible. After receiving a tour of the local Hub in Selly Oak, it was great to see the wide range of facilities which are available to those who need it.
It was also inspiring to be able to see the activities made available. The spaces around the Hub have been carefully thought out and specially designed to make arts and sports accessible for those who are facing barriers in everyday life. The Centre provides opportunities to get involved with Arts and Crafts, Music, Holiday Experiences, Dance Classes, Sports and ensure a safe Community space with a personalised approach to support people of all ages – we wish to say a huge thank you to Carl for showing us around.”
